HEC Compliance & Tracking

1. Our Role in HEC Compliance

Under HEC policy, undergraduate students are generally required to complete a mandatory internship or practical training placement prior to graduation. RankGrad supports this requirement by providing a centralized platform where:

• Students can apply for, secure, and log verified internships with partner companies.
• Companies can officially mark candidates as "Hired" or "Completed Internship" within the platform.
• Universities can aggregate these verified placement statuses for their enrolled student cohorts.

Important Disclaimer: RankGrad is a technology provider and tracking tool. We are not an HEC-accredited certification body, nor do we independently grant academic credit. The generated compliance reports reflect actual placement activity recorded on our platform, but your university retains ultimate authority over academic credit and degree clearance.

2. Using Compliance Reports (For Universities)

University administrators can use the RankGrad University Dashboard to:

• Create specific tracking batches (e.g., "BSCS Fall 2026").
• Invite students to join these batches.
• Download automated PDF compliance reports detailing which students have secured placements, their respective companies, and screening performance.

These reports are designed to be submitted directly to departmental heads or Quality Enhancement Cells (QEC) as supporting evidence of student industry placement.

3. For Students

To ensure your internship counts towards your university's compliance tracking via RankGrad:

• Ensure you have successfully joined your university's official tracking batch via the "Join Batch" link provided by your faculty.
• Apply to and complete internships through the RankGrad platform so the status changes are automatically logged.
• If you secure an internship outside of RankGrad, you must follow your university's manual reporting procedures, as it will not appear in our automated compliance reports.

4. Data Accuracy and Audits

The integrity of the compliance reports relies on accurate status updates from hiring companies. RankGrad reserves the right to audit placement claims and suspend accounts (both student and company) found to be falsifying hiring or internship completion statuses to bypass university requirements.
